The one where it rained!
There is the famous saying that it is good luck to rain on your wedding day. If that is the case, this couple need to place a lucky dip or two because we had a months worth of the wet stuff fall on us in the space of just a few hours!
To set the scene for the day, myself and Daisy (our second shooter and my fiancé) were up bright and early so we can meet this amazing Bride Briony as she got ready for her wedding day. After saying our goodbyes to our pug Frankie, we set off up the M6 to meet the Bride at her family home.
With our relaxed and natural documentary approach of wedding photography we were able to capture this beautiful set of images of our Bride Briony and her fabulous sisters who were her Bridesmaids. Their make-up was done by the amazing Hannah Fenlon! It was a great morning as the rain fell in the cosy cottage where they got ready. These were the calmest moments before getting married I have ever witnessed! There were gentle giggles, warm embraces and smiles on the face of everyone as they glanced over at the Bride.

We love a good sequence of images! The Father of the Brides first look is one of our favourites to take! This one did not quite go to plan as the Father caught us all off guard by barging in unexpectedly! Thankfully we are always prepared for the shot and we were able to capture this priceless moment!
We moved over to the beautiful St. Margaret’s Church, Betley for the Ceremony where our first port of call was to meet with the Groom, Jack and his Groomsmen. Jack was the calmest Groom I have ever photographed and spent a good portion of the morning chauffeuring guests from their vehicles to the church with his umberella!
There was a beautiful sense of occasion in the Church as family and friends caught up. I got to spend a few moments with the groom where we discussed his morning and how he felt. It made for some beautiful photos as we captured some relaxed portraits and moments that we’ve now captured to look back on.
One of the best things about having two photographers capture your wedding day is you get different points of view!

After the Ceremony we moved outside to capture some group photos as the rain had a break for us!
We moved onto the reception venue, the beautiful Buddileigh Farm in Crewe. They have the most amazing grounds for our couples photo session! We had a great walk around picking off the perfect spots for the new Husband and Wife! This is our favourite part of the day!

They put on the most amazing spread of food with burgers, ribs, potatoes, slaw, chilli and more! We had the best Vegan burger as well! Go check them out.
The Bride and Groom also had The Popup Joe's Coffee Co. in attendance who kept the coffee and hot chocolates flowing all day! What a great addition to a wedding day! We were hooked on the Hazelnut Hot Chocolate!

Then the couple moved to the dance floor for their first dance which was a beautiful moment to watch as family and friends smiled, cried and celebrated this wonderful couples wonderful wedding day.
We loved being at Briony and Jack’s amazing wedding day! They have got to be the most relaxed and laid back couple we have EVER worked with. It was the perfect wedding day and a pleasure to work at!
